How Does Shipping Work?
Your meat will ship via UPS or FedEx once meat is at their facility you will receive tracking information through either your phone number or email whichever was provided upon the order. (Usually about two weeks after you order so you get the freshest product!)

The meat will ship frozen in an insulated cooler and will arrive frozen to your doorstep.

We ship out orders every Monday & Tuesday.
What is Grass Finished?
our meats are always 100% grassfed and finished, but you wont find that everywhere. That means they eat grass their entire lives and never have any grains!

lots of companies will try and trick you by putting grassfed on their labels but if it doesn't say 100% grass-fed/ finished then that means they are finished out on grains for the last 80days of their lives

that's especially yucky because all non organic grain is GMO & pesticide sprayed and I don't know about you but I do not want to be eating pesticides in my meats
Where are you located at?
We are located in the lovely Midwestern state of Iowa, and our farm is located outside of West Bend, IA home of the beautiful Grotto if you've ever heard of it.
When will I get my meat?
If you have purchased a bulk beef share your meat will ship out to you within 1-3 weeks (smaller bundles will typically be within the week).

3 weeks is maximum wait time of any beef shares or products at Fehr Family Ranch.

Once your meat is ready to be shipped out you will receive an email from me and tracking information from UPS or FedEx so you can be ready to get all those yummy goodies!
Why is Grassfed beef better from Iowa?
If you buy grass-fed beef or other meats from any other state its not going to have as good of flavor profile, juiciness, or nutritional density as Iowa grass-fed beef does.

Iowa has one of the most fertile soils in the entire US. which leads to extremely nutrient rich meats because they are eating the nutrient rich lush grass.

If you buy grass-fed beef from the sate of lets say Texas you need to think about their landscape (its typically very hot, dry, and they don't have any lush green grass and their soil is not fertile or good for growing much.) But think about Iowa's landscape we have extremely fertile soil with an abundance of lush green grass and lots of pasture ground so your meat is just all around going to be better.
Whats the deal with Organic?
All of our meats are always organic and that means that our pastures are Never sprayed and if you buy chicken from us that their being fed a Non GMO and Organic feed.

We don't want any harmful pesticides that they spray on non organic feed in our meat products. Pesticides are linked to cancer and can cause many adverse health issues, birth defects, and toxins to build up in our bodies.
How does a BULK beef share work?
Once you pay your initial deposit amount we will send you your FREE freezer within the week so you can have that all ready and prepared before your bulk share comes.

You then will receive another final invoice amount when we are getting ready to ship your beef. This needs to be paid before shipping of your beef share.

Once your beef is done being processed, dry aged, and packed we will send you another email to be prepared to receive your beef (you will also receive tracking information through UPS or FedEx) and it will begin shipping to you.
